Women Artists

We are homemakers, childbearers, mothers, wives, cooks and cleaners, but we are also musicians, painters, photographers. Women are incredible artists. This blog is dedicated to the question of how female artists are perceived and treated. Gender equality in the arts, as in any other area, is important. But does it exist?

Respect towards female artists has always been a tricky topic. How serious are female singers being taken? How influential is a female painter's work? Female artists want to create, not be the subjects and it seems as if this line blurrs frequently.
