Learn how to make the most of your sleep
Students are invited to learn about how to rest more efficiently; music, snacks and drinks provided
Norfolk, Va. On May 5th, the entrance of the main ODU building turns into an event and concert location all about the topic “sleeping disorders among students”. A great variety of vendors, including psychologists, advisors, musicians and cooks will be attracting college students interested in learning more about how to rest efficiently. The event will be hosted from 7pm to 10pm. With free snacks, non-alcoholic beverages, music and info booths, there is something for everyone!
Brendan Duffy, the coordinator at St. Charles Sleep Disorders Center, at an interview: “Sleep is important as a major component of good health. A lack of sleep, or a poor quality of sleep, can sabotage a person’s health goals and impair their safety.”
The event is a collaboration of sleep specialists, local psychologists, musicians, professors and students. Practical tips and tricks will be given and a meditation station will be available for students interested in the art of relaxation.
George Ezra, the star of the hit single “Budapest” and a college student himself, will be hosting a concert at 9pm at the event. He will entertain with his well-known songs and speak shortly on his personal experience with sleep disorders.
The Virginian Pilot has endorsed the event and we are happy to announce that this university event is an environmentally conscious Virginia Green event.
Tickets to the event are free for ODU students; non-ODU students are invited to join for a $5 entrance fee. Tickets can be purchased at the box office at the event. Exhibitor, vendor and sponsor spots are still available. Visit the ODU events calender for more info.
We are thrilled to see you there!
